TEGL.
Do you know what a TEGL is? I do. I’ll refrain from commenting on whether I’m better for this knowledge or not.
A TEGL is a Training and Employment Guidance Letter. The Employment and Training Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor publishes these letters to provide guidance and direction on policy pertaining to Training and Employment. Thus, ARRA, which has a huge impact on those who provide training and employment services, i.e, WIA service providers, has several explanatory TEGLs out. The latest I’ve seen is No. 24-08, which provides guidance on Performance and Accountability Reporting for ARRA. It prints out at 64 pages. Since ARRA prints out at 407 pages, I suppose it’s not that bad, but this is just one TEGL developed for ARRA. I’m still on No. 14-08. It’ll be a while before I get to 24-08.
