Region 6 RWIB Charter

RELEASED:
The Region 6 RWIB is pleased
to announce Willis Cook, Express Personnel
Services, as the new Regional Workforce Investment Board (RWIB) Chair.
Many of
you probably know Willis from the
various activities he has been, and is, involved with, including
Chamber Greeter President, SHRM and attendance at the Douglas County
Employer Council. From his membership application he states, “I have
three years experience in the staffing industry screening and matching
employees with employers. I believe my experience working with
employers and employees will benefit DCRWIB.” Having been in Douglas
County for almost a year, Willis’ Oregon workforce experiences come
mostly from the Salem area. Willis also believes “the majority of
people applying for work truly are looking for a step up and
opportunity for themselves and their family.”
Although new to our region and
workforce
boards, these comments and beliefs are right on for the RWIB and its
objectives. We look forward to a very active and productive year for
the RWIB.
